Review:
Some stories are interesting & engaging some, well not so much.
Some are classic unforgettable Litature, like the "telltale heart" & others Are bitter sweet like "Phemie's Story".
All in all it was quite a good read, & there defiantly was not a "hauntly" part in the whole thing, in fact majority if not all the book is quite "Ghost Free"... but if you chance to come across a copy in a second hand book shop maybe, give it a go. You might be surprised. Io

Review: The Heat.

The Heat (The Big Bad Wolf #1)
By Heather Killough-walden.

Lily St James returns to her home town Baton Rouge in Louisiana & quickly falls back in love with her high school crush the tall, handsome & arrogant Daniel Kane. Lily is suddenly swept of her feet when she discovers she's a werewolf dormant who has two strong alpha weres wanting her as there mate.

The Heat wasn't particularly good nor was particularly bad it was just ok. Some parts I liked & others I didn't, a part of me wanted to give it 4 stars a different part 2 so I thought I'd go smack in the middle with 3 stars.


The Plot was slightly interesting & had me guessing. So all in all its ok but nothing special!

Review: Dreams of Darkness.

Dreams of Darkness by Barry James.

Jordan Hanson is having a bad day,ok the worst bad day in the history of the world, he just doesn't know it yet.
I was pleasantly surprised with dreams of darkness, from the Synopsis & the genre I thought it was just going to be a run of the mill horror novel but it turned out to be so much more. I also really enjoyed a male point of view, from both the character & author for a change.
Barry has done a wonderful job at bring this story to life , with such a complex plot & characters you would think you'd be weighted down or be utterly confused but I never was!
I really can't put into words how much I enjoyed it with out blabbering like a fool, so I'll simply say the plot, the Characters, the writing where all superb, if your into horror, urban fantasy or paranormal its a must read! Hopefully there's a second but at the same time hopefully not because this book stands strong on its own.

Review: Wiccan-Were-Bear Series By R.E. Butler.

A Curve of Claw Book #1:

Book Overview: Natural born wicca Elizabeth likes her carefree life just the way it is, filled with seven Equally gorgeous Guards that cater to her every desire sexual or otherwise (even if they don't like sharing).
But what she didn't expect was to be guilted into a binding ceremony in the local were-bear den and tie herself forever to a were-bear as a permanent guard (& more) to help form an allience between the were-bear den & her coven.
So the big question is will she give up the partying & carefree sex? Or will she turn her on the alliance for her own desires, well you'll just have to read find out!

A curve of claw was everything I thought I would be, sexy, fun & just an all round good read. I was tempted tho to give it 3 stars purely because It took me half of the book to get really into, I must admit that's slightly my own fault tho because I am in love with the authors over series The Wolfs Mate which had my drooling for from the start. So that aside the chracters where interesting & well developed for a novella (a fairly decent size Novella) & as always with Butler the writing was second to none with no annoying grammer! Defiantly recommend it & it being a freebie is just an added bonus!

**spoiler** Ok I just have to say this...OMG OMG OMG! I love Ash & Axe but seriously if I had to choose it would be Ash & even tho there identical twins in my mind I made him slightly better looking then Axe. I was secretly thrilled he was the one legally married to Elizabeth, silly I know but I'm not totally on board into the whole threesome/love triangle thing even tho it is quite romantic & different. I'll see how I feel with the second one, maybe it will grow on me. *fingers crossed* **spoiler end**

A Flash of Fang Book #2:

Book Overview: : A Flash of Fang is the follow up novella to A Curve of Claw. Elizabeth, Ash, and Axe are happily married, but Bad dreams keep Elizabeth awake all night & haunt her all day, leaving her with the sense that something dark is to happen. To add to the mix mating season is upon them & Elizabeth can't decided her feeling about having a child & isn't to keen to share her worries with the boys.

A Flash of Fang was enjoyable & I read the whole thing easily in one sitting it had the same fire, passion & fun as the first,I was tempted to bump it up to 4 but in my mind the first was better therefore it got 3 stars.
As I stated in my review of the first book Butler's writing is amazing...I can't get over it, she could write a story with the most boring plot & chracters but still make it woefully interesting (I'm not implying this was boring or anything).
I was a little dissapointed that the relationship didn't build up as much as I expected, I really wanted to read more about Ash & Axe's relationship, as well as Elizabeth & the Boys separately.

A Price for a Princess Book #3:

A Price for a Princess was an enjoyable read, bit more ya then the first 2 in the series but dateon is just 18..so I'll let that pass.
This book is basically made up of a bit of romance, lots of boring walking, unique characters & creatures, some hunky guards (because who doesn't want that) with some tantalizing sex scenes thrown in for good measure
I was a little disappointed mostly because it's was not what I expected **spoiler** at the start I was kinda liking the idea of the to were-bear hunks (even if they had some threesom thing going on) but was then blown away when we ment persesus...I loved Perseus & i mean LOVED! Not sure if its from my the lion, the witch & the wardrobe obsession as a kid, but I love centaures...there so damn sexy! & when he could shift into a human...i nearly drooled all on my ipad.Then it got all weird with ekho half lion half man it's kinda creppy, he sound ok & all but I didn't know where the flesh started & the fur ended... Maybe I'm thinking about this a bit much but what about his ummmm...member would that be hairy??**spoiler end**But hey that's what you want in a book right, twist & turns that you didn't see coming & some you don't want see.....Eva.
All in all ok but not as good as the first to, hopefully the 4th will be a little better.

Review: Moon Trilogy C.L Bevill

Black Moon:
Donovan is a werejaguar warrior for the werecat clan who's spying on there enemy the evil whitelaws, a werewolf clan who love money & murder.Isabella is a special librarian for a secret committee who's job is to protect the human race. The Story starts of interesting & very promising but loses it towards the middle & then kinda cuts short at the end. Which is a shame because I really wanted to get into this book but just couldn't. As with most free books you get what you pay for. Action, Semi Romance, a bit of a plot with lust = Black Moon. All in all ok but not great.

Amber Moon:
Mirie an agent of the secretive committee is assigned to stalk...I mean observe a hunky elvish prince who has the powerful possible world ending artifact but the problem is like all good short novels, her target is just to cute.....mmmm

I've read all three of the moon trilogy's & this is defiantly my favorite, mostly because of the female lead mirie. I like how there's a little reference to first book & picks up what was left out. But was a bit disappointed there was no real lust or romance going on unlike the other two books, which was a shame because I like this couple the best. Still a good book tho.

Silver Moon:
Silver moon is the nice & tidy ending of the trilogy, jack drake & asta (who we meet in the second book) must find out the mystery of the silver moon while fighting werewolves & dragons and also while desperately trying to keep their hands off each other.....Naughty things.

~Review: Wuthering Heights~

It's always hard reviewing a book you love so deeply, to review a book I hate is quite a joy same with ones I like & ones I slightly love a bit tricky but able, but a book you adore, a book of near perfection almost impossible, but I shall dutifully try.

I believe it was Mark Twain who famously said “Classic' - a book which people praise and don't read.” or a least read once praise continually & never plan on reading again....right? Well I would have agreed with you until I picked up a little know demonic romance novel by Emily Brontë & was utterly flawed, with it's utter perfection.

Mr Lockwood, a rich man from the south, has rented Thrushcross Grange in the north of England for peace and recuperation. Soon after arrival, he visits his landlord, Mr Heathcliff, who lives in the remote moorland farmhouse called "Wuthering Heights". He finds the inhabitants of Wuthering Heights to be a strange group: Mr Heathcliff appears a gentleman but his manners and speech suggest otherwise; the mistress of the house is in her late teens, an attractive but reserved, even rude woman; and there is a young man who appears to be one of the family although he dresses and talks like a servant.

Being snowed in, he has to stay the night and is shown to an unused chamber where he finds books and graffiti from a former inhabitant of the farmhouse called "Catherine". When he falls asleep, his dreams are prompted by this person and he has a nightmare where he sees her as a ghost trying to get in through the window. He wakes and is unable to return to sleep so, as soon as the sun rises, he is escorted back to Thrushcross Grange by Heathcliff. There he asks his housekeeper, Ellen Dean, to tell him the story of the family from the Heights.

& this is were we learn the entire history of the inhabits of the heights & thrush cross grange throughout births, deaths, marriages, love, loss, revenge & intense passion we hear from nelly how these peculiar inhabits came to be.

I firstly decide to read wuthering heights on a whim, I would like to say to broaden my enjoyment of classic English literature but it wasn't, it was...well this sounds kinda odd but because of the classic Kate bush song "Wuthering Heights" the song supposedly makes more sense once you've read the book (in which it does) but anyway I downloaded a audio copy & decided to listen to it while doing house work which I did, My neighbors must think me quite mad because I was constantly dropping my jaw, fuming with anger, near tears & smiling like a cheasha cat, all of which while cleaning...surely it can't be that entertaing, well it is, not the cleaning part tho...lol

Some people have mentioned the annoyance of being narrated the story by house servant nelly & also mr lockwood but being I loved it, being audio (& reading my paperback latter) I felt as if I was being told the story by nelly myself so on that level it worked really well.

If I was reading an e-book I would have highlighted so much of it there would barley a line un-coloured, Emily's writing is nothing less then beautiful. Wuthering Heights Is Why I Read.

I still am baffled how Emily could make me read let alone love such deplorable unjust characters each with their own selfish & insidious nature, Yet she did. Which is such a credit to her writing These characters are so very, very flawed & My hatred & pity for them is endless but I simply love to hate them Emily made so I would, that's why years latter We're still talking about WH, still being baffled by it & will continue to, as i continue to adore her work.

After reading wuthering heights I felt numb, emotional less. All my emotions has been striped away until I felt bare & numb. It was quite a complexing feeling, I've truly never felt like that after a book, it's just simply that good.

How could I not include some quotes I'm a quoting addict & by god these are beautiful quotes.

Review: The Souls Mate:Found.

The Souls Mate:FOUND Has made me fall in love with vampires again, I'm still having a love/hate relationship with YA novels but hey I'm super happy because I haven't read a good (non adult) vamp novel since twilight, I'm more of a shifter kinda girl but I read the synopsis then I was hooked, I just had to read it & it didn't disappoint it actually got me quite addicted & I'm soooooooo hoping there's more in the series!...no more like demanding more in the series at least more of Eric.


There's not much to put down that synopsis hasn't already said So I'll just give my honest opinion. :)

The Book started off really great, The characters were engaging & enjoyable. Even tho you knew what was happening early on, you still wanna know more.
I was defiantly going 5 stars but towards the middle near end I became confused then that confusion turned to annoyance. **Spoiler**This was about the time Amelia went to the physic, I really had little understanding of what was going on & then felt like everything the physic said (I forgot her name) was simply to fill up some space or give way for the more serious part of the novel**spoiler**

The book was written in third person but was set solely on Amelia the female lead which became frustrating I wanted a greater understanding of the characters & their interactions with each other.

while I'm at it I do have one more winge There's no Sex!...I'm not talking Erotica Its YA so that's not gonna happen but for a relationship to blossom & be realistic There's needs to be a bit more sexual love/hate tension to make it more believable, basically When you don't know wether you want kiss them or punch them

The Heroine:
Amelia was a fresh take on a female lead..if only for her curly locks (I'm naturally curly so I love lead females that are too... Crazy I know but it makes her more relatable) Strong & Confident just want a female lead Needs to be but she was also stubborn, emotional & not Submissive! (Thank God!)

The Hero:
Mich the Male lead was a bit over protective & dare I say it possessive ( but not to the extreme some books take it).
His ridiculously hot & despite his faults his a compassionate & loving character.

The Hottie:
Eric....omg his not a total lead but as you probably guessed already I'm in love! His just the kinda guy I go for insanely hot, with Crazy Hair (mmmmmmm), maybe not the smartest guy around but with a heart of gold & a wicked sense of humor!

The Ending was the perfect mix, in a way it was what I expected but at the same time I was surprised.

All in all it was a great book with a great story line plot & characters, it's just could of been so much more.
Ashley did a great job & like I said before I really hope fore more books.

(Update-ish Ashley has recently expended this novel & hopefully made a couple of changes around the end, I'm planning on reading it really soon & will have my "updated" review up ASAP)

Review: Awakening The Nightmare

Awakening The Nightmare (Symmetria Series Book 1#)

I just have to start this review with...WOW total wow the synopsis & that god awful Cover explain little to nothing about the pure awesomeness that hides within awakening the nightmare.

I really was hooked from the first chapter. You immediently get intrigued & pulled into this dark & mysterious world with weres, Ghosts, fae, Demons & vamps!

Each character is engaging I can truly say I didn't dislike any off them, I may hate some but at the same time loved them for their devious & evil nature. Even tho not Nicoli & Cory were the main chracters, the secdonary chracters even tho brief had some memorable & left me wanting more!

I could write & write all day about each chracter, but I doubt that would work out well so here's my three favs:

Cory ~
I havent ever read a heroine who was so captivating, strong, stubborn, loyal, mysterious & willful. (who I've been girl crushing on her ever since)

Nicoli (Nick) ~
Nick was the perfect vamp hero, he was sexy, pig headed, protective, loyal, stubborn & caring.

Edge ~
Obviously I wasn't the only one how fell for this pierced & tattooed up demon with a killer sense of Humour & overwhelming sex appeal!... I don't think I'll be the last either.

The writing was second to none especially for such a young authors first book, there was the perfect mix of mystery, romance, sex, fighting & friendship which most seasoned authors have difficulty balancing.

I Can't wait for more books I wanna know more about every character!...Please do yourself a big favor & buy this book you won't be disappointed!
