~Review: Wuthering Heights~

It's always hard reviewing a book you love so deeply, to review a book I hate is quite a joy same with ones I like & ones I slightly love a bit tricky but able, but a book you adore, a book of near perfection almost impossible, but I shall dutifully try.

I believe it was Mark Twain who famously said “Classic' - a book which people praise and don't read.” or a least read once praise continually & never plan on reading again....right? Well I would have agreed with you until I picked up a little know demonic romance novel by Emily Brontë & was utterly flawed, with it's utter perfection.

Mr Lockwood, a rich man from the south, has rented Thrushcross Grange in the north of England for peace and recuperation. Soon after arrival, he visits his landlord, Mr Heathcliff, who lives in the remote moorland farmhouse called "Wuthering Heights". He finds the inhabitants of Wuthering Heights to be a strange group: Mr Heathcliff appears a gentleman but his manners and speech suggest otherwise; the mistress of the house is in her late teens, an attractive but reserved, even rude woman; and there is a young man who appears to be one of the family although he dresses and talks like a servant.

Being snowed in, he has to stay the night and is shown to an unused chamber where he finds books and graffiti from a former inhabitant of the farmhouse called "Catherine". When he falls asleep, his dreams are prompted by this person and he has a nightmare where he sees her as a ghost trying to get in through the window. He wakes and is unable to return to sleep so, as soon as the sun rises, he is escorted back to Thrushcross Grange by Heathcliff. There he asks his housekeeper, Ellen Dean, to tell him the story of the family from the Heights.

& this is were we learn the entire history of the inhabits of the heights & thrush cross grange throughout births, deaths, marriages, love, loss, revenge & intense passion we hear from nelly how these peculiar inhabits came to be.

I firstly decide to read wuthering heights on a whim, I would like to say to broaden my enjoyment of classic English literature but it wasn't, it was...well this sounds kinda odd but because of the classic Kate bush song "Wuthering Heights" the song supposedly makes more sense once you've read the book (in which it does) but anyway I downloaded a audio copy & decided to listen to it while doing house work which I did, My neighbors must think me quite mad because I was constantly dropping my jaw, fuming with anger, near tears & smiling like a cheasha cat, all of which while cleaning...surely it can't be that entertaing, well it is, not the cleaning part tho...lol

Some people have mentioned the annoyance of being narrated the story by house servant nelly & also mr lockwood but being I loved it, being audio (& reading my paperback latter) I felt as if I was being told the story by nelly myself so on that level it worked really well.

If I was reading an e-book I would have highlighted so much of it there would barley a line un-coloured, Emily's writing is nothing less then beautiful. Wuthering Heights Is Why I Read.

I still am baffled how Emily could make me read let alone love such deplorable unjust characters each with their own selfish & insidious nature, Yet she did. Which is such a credit to her writing These characters are so very, very flawed & My hatred & pity for them is endless but I simply love to hate them Emily made so I would, that's why years latter We're still talking about WH, still being baffled by it & will continue to, as i continue to adore her work.

After reading wuthering heights I felt numb, emotional less. All my emotions has been striped away until I felt bare & numb. It was quite a complexing feeling, I've truly never felt like that after a book, it's just simply that good.

How could I not include some quotes I'm a quoting addict & by god these are beautiful quotes.

Review: The Souls Mate:Found.

The Souls Mate:FOUND Has made me fall in love with vampires again, I'm still having a love/hate relationship with YA novels but hey I'm super happy because I haven't read a good (non adult) vamp novel since twilight, I'm more of a shifter kinda girl but I read the synopsis then I was hooked, I just had to read it & it didn't disappoint it actually got me quite addicted & I'm soooooooo hoping there's more in the series!...no more like demanding more in the series at least more of Eric.


There's not much to put down that synopsis hasn't already said So I'll just give my honest opinion. :)

The Book started off really great, The characters were engaging & enjoyable. Even tho you knew what was happening early on, you still wanna know more.
I was defiantly going 5 stars but towards the middle near end I became confused then that confusion turned to annoyance. **Spoiler**This was about the time Amelia went to the physic, I really had little understanding of what was going on & then felt like everything the physic said (I forgot her name) was simply to fill up some space or give way for the more serious part of the novel**spoiler**

The book was written in third person but was set solely on Amelia the female lead which became frustrating I wanted a greater understanding of the characters & their interactions with each other.

while I'm at it I do have one more winge There's no Sex!...I'm not talking Erotica Its YA so that's not gonna happen but for a relationship to blossom & be realistic There's needs to be a bit more sexual love/hate tension to make it more believable, basically When you don't know wether you want kiss them or punch them

The Heroine:
Amelia was a fresh take on a female lead..if only for her curly locks (I'm naturally curly so I love lead females that are too... Crazy I know but it makes her more relatable) Strong & Confident just want a female lead Needs to be but she was also stubborn, emotional & not Submissive! (Thank God!)

The Hero:
Mich the Male lead was a bit over protective & dare I say it possessive ( but not to the extreme some books take it).
His ridiculously hot & despite his faults his a compassionate & loving character.

The Hottie:
Eric....omg his not a total lead but as you probably guessed already I'm in love! His just the kinda guy I go for insanely hot, with Crazy Hair (mmmmmmm), maybe not the smartest guy around but with a heart of gold & a wicked sense of humor!

The Ending was the perfect mix, in a way it was what I expected but at the same time I was surprised.

All in all it was a great book with a great story line plot & characters, it's just could of been so much more.
Ashley did a great job & like I said before I really hope fore more books.

(Update-ish Ashley has recently expended this novel & hopefully made a couple of changes around the end, I'm planning on reading it really soon & will have my "updated" review up ASAP)

Review: Awakening The Nightmare

Awakening The Nightmare (Symmetria Series Book 1#)

I just have to start this review with...WOW total wow the synopsis & that god awful Cover explain little to nothing about the pure awesomeness that hides within awakening the nightmare.

I really was hooked from the first chapter. You immediently get intrigued & pulled into this dark & mysterious world with weres, Ghosts, fae, Demons & vamps!

Each character is engaging I can truly say I didn't dislike any off them, I may hate some but at the same time loved them for their devious & evil nature. Even tho not Nicoli & Cory were the main chracters, the secdonary chracters even tho brief had some memorable & left me wanting more!

I could write & write all day about each chracter, but I doubt that would work out well so here's my three favs:

Cory ~
I havent ever read a heroine who was so captivating, strong, stubborn, loyal, mysterious & willful. (who I've been girl crushing on her ever since)

Nicoli (Nick) ~
Nick was the perfect vamp hero, he was sexy, pig headed, protective, loyal, stubborn & caring.

Edge ~
Obviously I wasn't the only one how fell for this pierced & tattooed up demon with a killer sense of Humour & overwhelming sex appeal!... I don't think I'll be the last either.

The writing was second to none especially for such a young authors first book, there was the perfect mix of mystery, romance, sex, fighting & friendship which most seasoned authors have difficulty balancing.

I Can't wait for more books I wanna know more about every character!...Please do yourself a big favor & buy this book you won't be disappointed!
